Oldony’o Lengai, Maasai Mountain of God

Set in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, on the southern edge of the flamingo studded Lake Natron, is Oldony’o Lengai, the Maasai Mountain of God. This active volcano is unusual because the make up of its lava, which is much cooler than most of the world’s volcanoes.

We offer various treks in the vicinity of Mt. Lengai. Climbing the volcano itself is possible, and can be exhilarating, but it is a serious hike. For more information and suggested itineraries, please email us.
